Sustainable Landscaping

Learn how to take the concept of Xeriscaping to a more-evolved level!

Guest speaker, John Gleason, Urban Landscape Architect with the City of Austin, will introduce us to the concept of Sustainable Landscaping. It takes a "big picture" view of landscaping, whether it be the management of a large urban environment or that of a small residence. Some of the topics John will cover include:

• The C-U-R-E concept of urban environmental restoration.
• Economical, environmental, and social concerns in a sustainable approach.
• How to meet our current landscape needs without compromising the needs of future generations.
