Music from the Disney movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame will be featured at the Austin Symphony’s annual Halloween Children’s Concerts. Also on the program — 1996 Olympics Theme, Children’s Symphony, 3rd movement, selections from Suite from Water Music, Children’s Games, and selections from Mother Goose Suite.
Performances for first and second grade classes will be held on Monday and Tuesday, October 28 and 29, at 9:45 and 11:15 each morning at the Paramount Theatre, 713 Congress. School buses will line the streets of Congress Avenue these two days during the mornings and over 4,000 children will hear the Austin Symphony Orchestra.
Narrated by emcee Marco Perella, the performances are designed to capture the imagination of the young audience. Children will be introduced to various instruments in the orchestra and learn about the music being performed.
These performances are pre-sold to schools and are sold out.
