Music of the Dixie Chicks


Our first album, Thank Heavens for Dale Evans, had fourteen tracks, each with varying musical themes. At this time, The Dixie Chicks consisted of Robin Lynn Macy on guitar and vocals, Laura Lynch on bass and vocals, Martie Erwin on fiddle, viola, and vocals, and Emily Erwin on banjo and vocals. Dave Peters was the special guest playing the mandolin.

The second album, Little Ol’ Cowgirl, was released in 1992. It featured Marty Erwin on violin, Emily Erwin on the banjo, Laura Lynch on bass, and Robin Lynn Macy on Guitar. Following with tradition, Little Cowgirl has a wide variety of tunes, from Blue Grass, to Western, to Folk, and back.

Our most recent achievement, Shouldn’t a Told You That, was just put out a year and a half ago. The ten southern tracks will get you swinging, laughing, and crying. Again, Marty, Emily, and Laura lead the band with Tony VanSchaik on drums, Matthew Benjamin on guitar, Lloyd Mains on steel guitar Joan Besen on Piano, and many more.
